Check-out time is before 11:00am on the day of your discharge.
Transportation should be arranged in advance with your family, a taxi or Handivan. If you need help, contact a member of your health care team.
All HMSA 65C Plus, HPH - Classic and Kaiser Senior Plan members are required to sign the Notification of Medicare Appeal Rights the day of discharge. If you do not receive this from your Patient Services Representative, please call 808.691.4210.
Be aware that you may need to stop at the Pharmacy and/or Patient Financial Services before leaving The Queen's Medical Center.
Queen's Pharmacy, located on Nalani 1 across from the Admitting area, is available to fill your prescriptions at the time of your discharge. Queen's participates with most major third party insurance policies. However, as a patient, you have the right to choose which pharmacy will fill your prescriptions.
To streamline your discharge process, please inform a nurse of your pharmacy preference in advance. While having your medication dispensed from Queen's Pharmacy is convenient, your regular pharmacy maintains a comprehensive record of your medication which could be of value to you. It's your choice. If you choose to fill your prescriptions at Queen's Pharmacy, please be prepared to pay for your medication when you are discharged.
