Trauma Services


The Queen’s Medical Center is the only verified Level II Trauma Center in the state of Hawaii by the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma. Additionally, Queen’s is also a designated as a trauma center by the Hawaii Department of Health. These achievements recognize the trauma center’s dedication to providing optimal care for all injured patients in the entire Pacific Basin. This dedication encompasses the pre-hospital phase of care through to and including the rehabilitation process.

With approximately 2700 trauma patients arriving at Queen’s each year, the Queen’s Trauma Service provides all traumatically injured patients with priority access to comprehensive medical care and hospital services 24 hours-a-day and seven days-a-week.
