Sleep Laboratory Services
Queen’s Sleep Laboratory provides diagnostic testing for the detection and treatment of sleep apnea, a complete obstruction of the upper airway periodically throughout the night. Other services provided by Queen’s Sleep Laboratory includes:

  • Overnight Polysomnograms
  • Modified Polysomnograms
  • Nasal Continuous Positive Airway Pressure application
  • Continuous Overnight Pulse Oximetry
  • Multiple Sleep Latency Testing

Where is the Sleep Laboratory Located?
Queen’s Sleep Laboratory is located on the first floor of the Kamehameha wing near the Kamehameha Auditorium and is open 24 hours a day Monday through Saturday. Services are provided for both inpatients and outpatients.

Some Information About Snoring
Snoring can be hazardous to your health. Snoring is actually incomplete obstruction of the upper airway. Many snorers have complete obstruction (apnea) periodically throughout the night. When this occurs oxygen in the blood falls, the heart can beat irregularly and sleeping is interrupted. Untreated sleep apnea can cause debilitating sleepiness, increased chance of driving accidents and may lead to health problems including heart failure. If you suspect sleep apnea, contact your physician or the Queen's Sleep Laboratory.
